Cafu To Play For English Non-League Club

Former Brazil and Roma defender Cafu has agreed a deal to play for English non-league side Garforth Town for a few games at the end of the 2008-09 season.

"He's likely to be coming in April and just playing a few games for us," said Garforth's owner Simon Clifford, who runs the Brazilian Soccer Schools coaching organization. Former Brazilian national team players Socrates and Careca have both appeared for the Unibond Northern League (eighth tier) team in recent seasons.

"It's an absolute honor to have someone like him lining up in our shirt," said Clifford. "I think he'll also add something on the field."
