Chelsea bid to take EPL lead fails

[ENGLAND] Chelsea missed a chance to overtake Liverpool in the Premier League when it settled for a 0-0 tie at Everton after captain John Terry was sent off in the 34th minute.

The tie ended the Blues' 11-game away Premier League winning streak.

Terry was sent off for a wild lunge at Leon Osman. Until then, Chelsea had American keeper Tim Howard under pressure.

Late in the game, Chelsea keeper Peter Cech stymied Everton on several occasions.
