Florida State star Talonen heads for Sweden

For the second year in a row, a Florida State star is headed to Sweden's Damallsvenskan. Finnish international Sanna Talonen joined KIF Orebro, marking her return to Sweden. She had played for Balinge in the first half of the 2007 Swedish league season.

According to the Damallsvenskan Newsblog, Talonen signed a two-year deal with Orebro. The Finn, a member of the 2008 Soccer America Women's MVP first team, scored 35 goals in 45 matches for the Seminoles.

Last year, Japanese international Mami Yamaguchi signed for Umea with one year of college eligibility still left.

Talonen has been in China this week with the Finnish national team, which also features two other KIF players. Finland will host the 2009 European Women's Championship.

Talonen is the second 2008 Soccer America MVP to sign with a Swedish team. Oklahoma State's Yolanda Odenyo is returning home to play for Linkoping.
