5. TV PREVIEW: Liverpool set to slide into semis

WEDNESDAY: UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal, 2nd Leg
LIVERPOOL-PSV (ESPN Deportes & Setanta USA, live, 2:30 pm ET).

The prospects that three of the four Champions League semifinalists will hail from the English Premier League look darn good. Manchester United and Chelsea qualified yesterday, and on Wednesday Liverpool takes a 3-0 lead into its second leg against Dutch squad PSV Eindhoven.

"If I told my squad to believe they can still advance, then I don't belong on this planet," said PSV Eindhoven coach Ronald Koeman on his team's chances of winning by four goals in Liverpool.

Of course Liverpool's Spanish coach Rafael Benitez is warning against complacency.

"These kind of games are difficult. Sometimes teams say 'OK, the job is done' but we have to be careful," Benitez said.

But in 50 years of European Cup play, none of the 114 teams that lost at home, 3-0, in the first leg advanced. Moreover, PSV's Alex, Ibrahim Afellay, Edison Mendes, Michael Reiziger, Alcides and Jan Kromkamp are all out.

For Liverpool, Chilean Mark Gonzalez may start in place of Brazilian midfielder Fabio Aurelio, who suffered a ruptured Achilles' tendon in the first leg and is out for the season. And Benitez needs a replacement for suspended forward Dirk Kuyt alongside Peter Crouch.

Probable lineups:
Liverpool --
