, coach of the national powerhouse Broughton boys and girls programs, and Mike
and Brendan Moylan
, co-founders of Hillsborough-based Eurosport, the world's largest soccer retailer, were inducted into the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame at its
annual banquet on Saturday in Greensboro.
The Cuban-born Hernandez has coached at Raleigh's Broughton since 1989. It's won nine women's high school state titles and two men's state
titles and finished first in the NSCAA national rankings twice, in 2006 with the girls and in 2007 with the boys. He won a U.S. Youth Soccer national championship in 1995 with the CASL Spartans,
North Carolina's first youth national championship.
While still in high school, as part of a senior project, Mike Moylan developed a business plan for a retail and mail-order soccer
enterprise. What emerged was Sports Endeavors, incorporated in 1984, and a retail store and catalog, both called Eurosport.
Mike Moylan graduated from Georgetown University in 1988 and
Brendan Moylan, from Duke University in 1989. Both are graduates of Durham Academy.
