U-17s win twice at La Serena Cup

The U.S. under-17 national team kicked off play at the La Serena Cup in La Serena, Chile, with a 2-0 win over the host team on Sunday and a 1-0 win over Peru on Tuesday.

Jack McInerney and Charles Renken, making his first international appearance since returning from knee surgery, scored to put the USA after just the eight minutes against Chile.

The U.S. defense, led by captain Perry Kitchen, limited Chile to just two shots on goal.
