[U.S. UNDER-17 NATIONAL TEAM] The USA fell to Spain, 2-1, on a goal in the 90th minute of Wednesday's clash of U-17 powers at the Spanish soccer
federation's Ciudad del Futbol.
The hosts got goals from Atletico Madrid's
Baston and Barcelona's
Sergi in
their warmup for UEFA U-17 qualifying. The USA, which plays in Concacaf qualifying in April, tied the score on
Jack McInerney's goal in the 76th minute.
McInerney led the U.S. U-17s with three goals at the La Serena Cup they recently won in Chile.
The Americans remain in Madrid until Sunday.
