5. ITALY: Inter Milan goes for match-point

Unbeaten Inter Milan can clinch its 15th Serie A title with a victory over second-place Roma on Wednesday at the San Siro (TV, GolTV, live, 11:30 am ET).

A victory would open up an insurmountable 19-point lead with six matches remaining. Inter coach Roberto Mancini wants his team to clinch the Scudetto in style.

"On Wednesday," he was quoted as saying in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday, "we've got match-point, and I want my team to play a perfect match."

Hernan Crespo is doubtful after injuring his thigh injury during the 2-2 tie against Palermo on Sunday. Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recovered from a groin strain and should start alongside Adriano in attack.

Roma's only hope is to delay the inevitable.

"We'll do everything we can to ruin Inter's evening," said Roma defender Matteo Ferrari. "We're tired of being bystanders at other people's parties. We want to show that Inter aren't the only great team in Italy."
