Flamboyant Mexican forward
Adolfo Bautista is entertaining thoughts of following in the footsteps of fellow famed star Cuauhtemoc Blanco by joining MLS this
Summer, according to a report on
mediotiempo.com.
While the colorful "Bofo" currently plays for Jaguares in
the Mexican First Division, the team has yet to renew his contract for the 2009-10 season, leaving him open to explore options either in the U.S. or abroad. "I've got to wait and see if there
are more proposals, but once the renewal didn't happen in January, it's more difficult for it to happen now," confessed the creative goal scorer.
An occasional call-up to the Mexican
national team, Bofo would best fit with Chivas USA. With parent club Guadalajara he "reached great fame with the brand in Mexico" and "sometimes played with the team logo shaved and dyed into his
hairstyle," points out Goal.com's
Andrea Canales.
