Not satisfied with recent Champions League results, Inter Milan coach
Jose Mourinho has successfully lobbied team owner
Massimo Moratti for more spending cash and "has got the green light for a ($125 million) summer transfer assault on the Premier League," according to The Daily Mirror.
Mourinho is said to have his eye on six specific "battle-hardened" players, not surprisingly including the trio of
Didier Drogba, John Obi Mikel and
Ricardo Carvalho from his former team Chelsea. His wish list also includes Arsenal midfielder
Abou Diaby, Tottenham's
Jermaine Jenas and Manchester United defender
Nemanja Vidic.
According to an Inter Milan source, and echoing coach's comments after the team's loss to Manchester United last week, Mourinho "has made the case that the club cannot hope to fight against the
English teams with the squad he was left with by
Roberto Mancini," with Moratti now giving him "the chance to get the players he feels he needs."
