Owen OK With England Absence?

"His career is going down the pan and it's upsetting me. I'm Michael Owen's biggest fan but, at the moment, I'm his biggest critic. I'm waiting to see Michael on TV, or read about him in the press, saying how tough it is not being involved in the England team. But this interview doesn't seem to appear. I would dearly love him to break [Bobby] Charlton's [goalscoring] record. But it's up to Michael. He needs to think, 'I'm 29, I'm 10 goals away from being England's greatest-ever goal scorer, and I'm going to have a real go.' His attitude seems to be all wrong. He has got to realize there is still time enough for him to go out with a bang for England." Former Arsenal star Ian Wright, calling for the injury-plagued Newcastle striker to step up and express interest in playing for England again.
