U.S. U-17s finish 1-2 in Argentina

The U.S. under-17 boys national team rounded out their schedule of international friendlies in Buenos Aires with a 3-1 loss to Uruguay. Sebastian Lleget, recently called for the runup to Concacaf qualifying, scored the lone goal for the USA, which finished with a 1-2 record against South American teams.

The USA will open its regional qualifying campaign against Cuba on April 21 at Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, Mexico. The U.S. will play Canada on April 23 and round out Group A play against Honduras on April 25. Four teams -- two from each group -- from CONCACAF will travel to the 2009 Under-17 World Cup Oct. 24-Nov. 16 in Nigeria.
