Fergie Blasts Rafa's Arrogance

On the eve of Sunday's FA Cup game between Manchester United and Everton at Wembley, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson came to Everton's defense, taking aim at Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, manager of Everton's Merseyside rival and United's challenger for the EPL lead.

"He called Everton a small club which points to his arrogance. They are a big club and David Moyes, the manager, is doing a great job. But arrogance is one thing. You cannot forgive contempt, which is what he showed [Blackburn manager] Sam Allardyce last weekend. When Liverpool scored their second goal he signaled as if the game was finished [it ended 4-0 for Liverpool]. I do not think Sam deserved that. It's beyond the pale. I don't think any other Liverpool manager would have done that."
