Robinson would not elaborate on the reasons, although the Newcastle Sunday Sun reported he may be headed back to an assistant coaching job with Newcastle United, which is second-last in the English Premier League.

Despite the fresh news, TFC managed to defeat the Kansas City Wizards 1-0 on Sunday under the management of its two assistant coaches, Chris Cummins and Nick Dasovic.
