Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac
attended Saturday's Fire-Columbus game to watch and meet with Patrick Nyarko
, the Fire's 23-year-old forward.
"This was his first opportunity to
see Patrick," Fire technical director Frank Klopas
said. "He wants to bring him in for friendlies to take a closer look. Obviously Patrick is very excited. The good thing about him is that
he's a level-headed kid."
Nyarko, in his second MLS season, has started all six of the Fire's games this season and has a goal and two assists. He played three seasons at Virginia Tech
before being selected in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.
