Berlusconi Wants Young-Blooded Coach

AC Milan will go in search of an emerging coach rather than an established name if Carlo Ancelotti leaves at the end of the season, club owner Silvio Berlusconi, who is also Italy's Prime Minister, said on Wednesday.

Berlusconi, who still thinks Ancelotti may stay, has fond memories of the success of inexperienced coaches at the San Siro in the 1980s and 1990s. "(If he leaves) I would take the route of an emerging coach like we did in the times of [Arrigo] Sacchi and [Fabio] Capello," Berlusconi said.

Despite his constant denials, Ancelotti has long been linked in the media with Chelsea given that their interim coach Guus Hiddink will return to managing Russia at the end of May. Also among the favorites to replace Ancelotti are former Barcelona boss and Milan player Frank Rijkaard, and Cagliari's Massimiliano Allegri.
