Amateur Lions and Saguaros return for second straight year

[U.S. OPEN CUP] The 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup begins on June 16 with 16 first-round games featuring two amateur teams, the St. Louis Lions (PDL) and Arizona Sahuaros (USASA), returning for their second consecutive U.S. Open Cup appearance.

Sixteen amateur teams from representing the U.S. Adult Soccer Association and Premier Development League are joined by 16 teams from the USL-1 and USL-2.

Following two rounds of play, the eight survivors face the eight qualified Major League Soccer teams.
