Dutch look to book first tickets

[WORLD CUP 2010 QUALIFYING] The Netherlands will become the first European country to reach next year's World Cup finals if it beats Iceland in Reykjavik on Saturday.

A win would give the Dutch an 11-point lead over second-place Scotland, which has only three games left, in Group 9.

Group 1 leader Denmark can pad its lead with a win over neighboring Sweden in Stockholm. The Swedes are tied with Portugal for third place, seven points behind the Danes. Portugal's World Cup campaign will be all but over if it doesn't win at Albania.

In Group 7, England looks for its sixth straight win when it faces Kazakhstan in Almaty. Even without such starters as goalkeeper David James, central defender Rio Ferdinand and midfielder Michael Carrick, the English will be favored.
