Tony Mowbray Named New Celtic Manager

Celtic announced that Tony Mowbray will replace Gordon Strachan as the club's manager. Strachan quit last month after missing out on the Scottish Premier League title. "Celtic Football Club is delighted today to confirm that Tony Mowbray has been appointed the new Celtic manager," a club statement said. The 45-year-old Mowbray was given permission to speak to Celtic on Saturday by West Bromwich Albion, which was relegated from the English Premier League last season. Mowbray, who played for Celtic for four years between 1991 and 1995, will be joined on the coaching staff by Neil Lennon, another former Celtic player.
