Tied up in New England

[SUPERLIGA] Group B action Wednesday night action at Gillette Stadium saw New England share points with MLS rival Kansas City in a 1-1 stalemate while all-Mexican clash between Santos and Atlas produced no goals.

The Revs remain on top of the group standings because they won their opener, 4-2, against Santos. Atlas and Kansas City are tied for second with two points apiece and Santos has one point.

Against the Wizards, New England played with a man-down after the 24th minute ejection of Michael Videira, but took the lead before halftime on a goal by Kheli Dube.

The Revs looked headed for victory until an 85th-minute own goal by Darrius Barnes, who deflected when Herculez Gomez's cross into the Revs' net.

Atlas, which opened with a scoreless tie with Kansas City, and Santos, combined for 28 shots and 16 corner kicks but couldn't find the net.
