Club America wins opener in shootout

[WORLD FOOTBALL CHALLENGE] Club America beat Inter Milan in a shootout after their game finished 1-1 in the opening of the World Football Challenge. The game drew a pro-Club America crowd of 31,026 fans.

Club America took a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute on a goal by midfielder Juan Carlos Silva, and Ivan Ramiro Cordoba replied for Inter nine minutes later.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, rumored to be headed for Barcelona, came on in the second half for Inter.

Players on both teams were seemingly unaware that the World Football Challenge would feature penalty kicks. They started exchanging jerseys at the end of the game.
