Chicago Magic is sold to group with indoor ties

The Chicago Magic, one of the big names in youth soccer, has been sold.

Rampage Futbol LLC, owner of the Rockford Rampage professional indoor team, acquired the Magic from Hallmark Properties.

As part of the club's restructuring, former El Salvador and MLS star Raul Diaz Arce has been named the club's academy director.

Since his retirement, Diaz Arce has worked as an assistant coach in the U.S. U-17 residency program and a Development Academy technical advisor.

Hallmark Properties will maintain rights to the facilities in Frankfort and Merrillville, the outdoor
complex/fields in Lowell, Ind., the Indiana Magic Soccer Club and will still host the Best of the
Midwest Tournaments annually.
