A riot at a soccer game in Honduras killed two fans, a 35-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy. Gunfire rang out in the stands at a game between Olimpia and Motagua. Sixteen people were injured and six

Carlos Cordero says that fans of both teams fought each other "with everything they had in their hands." The rioters also battled police who
tried to restore order. Although the motive for the riot remains unclear, the violence erupted amid tensions over a June 28 military coup that ousted President
Manuel Zelaya.
