One former Boston College star lit up Swedish soccer, and another ex-Eagle is following in his footsteps. After U.S. international Charlie Davies, who
parlayed a solid stint at Hammarby into a transfer to French club Sochaux, Floridian Alejandro Bedoya celebrated his first two goals with Orebro, scoring
both goals after coming on in the 78th minute of Monday's 2-2 tie with BK Hacken.
Like Davies, Bedoya starred at BC and passed on the MLS to move to Sweden. He's played 12 games for
Orebro.
"The coach told me to get in there and raise the tempo and bring some energy," said Bedoya, who was a Soccer America MVP in 2007 for BC after transferring from Fairleigh
Dickinson. "I think I did more than that."
The win allowed Orebro to hurdle Hacken and move into sixth place in the after 16 games.
