Wolves train at Derby County

Three members of the Derby County Wolves, who won the 2009 U.S. Soccer Development Academy U-15/16 age group, trained at English club Derby County's academy program in late summer.

Dzenan Catic (East Kentwood High School), who scored the winning goal in the final, Nate Hicklin (Troy High School) and Josh Berens (Holt High School) were joined by Vardar's Caleb Stanko (Oakland Christian High School) in England.

Conor Doyle, a 17-year-old player with the Dallas Texans, will also be training at Derby later in August.

Owned by a Detroit-based sports management firm, Derby County became a sponsor of the Michigan Wolves' academy program last season.
