Sneijder Completes Madrid To Inter Milan Move

After prolonged marketing efforts, Real Madrid has officially unloaded Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sneijder to Inter Milan. Neither club has provided financial details on the move. But Spanish and Italian media reported the transfer was worth around $21.5 million. Sneijder fulfills Inter coach Jose Mourninho's need for a creative midfielder.

"I think Inter is an amazing club, one of the biggest clubs in the world, so I'm very happy to be a player of Inter. It has been long, but finally I am here," Sneijder told a news conference after being given the number 10 shirt.

Mourinho said on Thursday the 25-year-old could feature in Saturday's city derby with AC Milan but then omitted Sneijder from his initial match squad. The shifty manager, however, might yet unveil Sneijder this weekend.
