Kansas City finds the goal!

[MLS] The Kansas City Wizards, which had gone four games without scoring and seven games without a win, beat New England, 4-2. D.C. United escaped from FC Dallas with a 2-2 tie. Conor Casey scored his 12th goal of the season to give Colorado a 1-0 home win over Toronto FC.

Kansas City ended a 426-minute goal drought when Argentine Claudio Lopez scored in the third minute against the Revs. Three minutes after the Revs' Shalrie Joseph was ejected in the 23rd minute for serious foul play, the Wizards upped their lead with a Jay Heaps own goal. The Revs replied with a goal by Edgaras Jankauskas, but KC's Josh Wolff scored two goals, sandwiched Kheli Dube's strike, for a 4-2. win.

D.C. United, which looks forward to five straight home games, can be satisfied with pulling off a tie in Dallas, which went ahead on Jeff Cunningham's 10th goal of the season. United equalized with a Marc Burch strike. Dallas regained the lead thanks to David Ferreira. But Jaime Moreno's successful penalty kick, which came after a Daniel Torres foul on Santino Quaranta that also earned Torres a red card, got United the tie.

Casey upped his league-leading scoring total with the winning goal for Colorado in a 1-0 win over Toronto FC that improved the Rapids' home record to 8-2-3.
