Weston FC gets off to fast start in Development Academy

Newcomer Weston FC swept all four games in the debut of its U-17/18 and U-15/16 teams in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. The Florida club dominated during the abbreviated Labor Day schedule that kicked off the 2009-10 season for 77 clubs.

Sekani Sinclair, one of Florida's top prep players as a junior last year for powerhouse American Heritage, led the U-15/16s with two goals in wins over Birmingham United (4-3) and Atlanta Fire United (4-1).

The U-17/18s, who beat Birmingham United (3-2) and Atlanta Fire United (2-1) are led by goalie Brian Sylvestre, a former resident at the U.S. under-17 national team program in Bradenton, Fla.

Both players formerly played for Schulz Academy, which Weston FC replaced as the second South Florida team in the Development Academy along with Miami FC Kendall.
