What We're Reading

Arnoux Settling in with Everton

Former Wake Forest star Cody Arnoux is acclimating to life in England with new club Everton. Living with fellow American Anton Peterlin, who joined Everton earlier in the summer, has helped Arnoux's comfort level. "[Living with Peterlin] has helped a lot in the transition," said Arnoux, who plays for the reserve team. "Having someone you feel comfortable with makes a load of difference in making this type of transition easier."

On the field, Arnoux is focused on improving. He is relishing the time he gets against top players. "We always have a few first team guys in and about our [reserve] team getting back to fitness and what not," Arnoux said. "So the training is really good. We also train with the first team a lot so it's a good experience for someone like me to play against the likes of [Louis] Saha, [Joseph] Yobo, [Sylvain] Distin."

Arnoux has seen regular playing time for the reserve team, scoring on his debut game against Burnley, so the Califronia native is off to the right start. He says his only goal is improvement: "The only milestone I have set for myself is to work hard and get better everyday. This year I just want to build on my experiences and grow as a player."
