Honduras Still Slated to Host USA

Despite the country's political turmoil, Honduras will host the World Cup qualifier against the USA on Oct. 10 in San Pedro Sula, says FIFA. FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke says that the country's current safety concerns are not great enough to move the match. But Valcke also said that FIFA's stance could change if the situation worsens.

Honuduras President Manuel Zelaya, exiled by force from his post on June 28, sneaked back into Honduras on Sept. 21 and remains in the Brazilian Embassy in Tegucigalpa amid protests against interim President Roberto Micheletti.
