Chelsea Adds to Liverpool Woes

Didier Drogba set up two close-range finishes, one for Nicolas Anelka and the other for Florent Malouda, as Chelsea earned a deserved victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool threatened only occasionally, with Fernando Torres subdued by a magnificent performance from Chelsea and England captain John Terry, who repelled any danger that came his side's way. The win moves undefeated Chelsea back to the top of the Premier League standings.

Liverpool, meanwhile, has had a sluggish start to the season. The result marks Liverpool's third league loss, eclipsing the number of losses they had in all of last season. The defeat capped a disappointing week after the Reds also slumped to a 2-0 loss against Fiorentina in the Champions League on Tuesday.
