Charlie Davies, who featured regularly for his country this summer, says that the national team isn't merely trying to qualify for the World Cup. "By beating
Spain in the semifinals of the Confederations Cup and by narrowly losing to Brazil in the final, we showed that we can do something global," he enthused to L'Equipe. "With the players we
have, if things go well, we can win the World Cup." The USA can book its place in the tournament by beating Honduras on Saturday.
