Comeback sends Nigeria to finals

[WORLD CUP 2010 QUALIFYING] Nigeria became the 25th team to qualify for the 2010 World Cup when it rallied to win, 3-2, at Kenya on Obefami Martins' second goal of the game in the 83rd minute. Cameroon also qualified in Africa when it beat Morocco, 2-0, on a pair of goals by Gervinho. New Zealand beat Bahrain, 1-0, early Saturday and won their playoff series

Nigeria's Super Eagles needed to beat Kenya and hope Tunisia's Eagles of Carthage didn't win at Mozambique. Nigeria trailed well into the second half, went ahead 2-1 on goals by Aiyegbeni Yakubu and Martins, but Kenya tied the score at 2-2 in the 79th minute in Allan Wetende's goal.

Tunisia fell, 1-0 on Dario's goal for Mozambique in the 83rd minute.

Cameroon qualified for an African record sixth time. It failed to qualify for Germany '06 and was at one point in last place in its final-round group. A pair of wins over Gabon turned the tide in September.
