Glasgow Rangers targets Holden for January move

The Houston Dynamo's Stuart Holden could become the three American midfielder at Scottish club Rangers if Manager Walter Smith gets his wish. Rangers has targeted the Scottish-born U.S. international for a move during the January transfer window. Chief scout Ewan Chester has been following Holden, who has been recommended by Toronto FC general manager Mo Johnston, the former Scotland and Rangers striker. Johnston tipped Rangers about TFC midfielder Maurice Edu, who joined Rangers last season. DaMarcus Beasley also plays for Rangers.
