Lindsey Wilson takes eighth championship

[NAIA MEN] No. 1 seed Lindsey Wilson won its eighth NAIA men's title by defeating No. 15 seed The Master's, 1-0 in Saturday's final at Fresno Pacific.

The Blue Raiders repeated as champions for the first time since 2005. Their eight total trophies are second most all-time behind Quincy's 11.

"A great tournament and Fresno Pacific did a fantastic job hosting, we appreciate it," said Lindsey Wilson head coach Ray Wells. "This game against The Master's was not what I expected. I thought that it would be a game that would have been a little more possession-oriented for us. The Master's came out and was awesome and we were lucky to get that early goal and hold on to it."

Lindsey Wilson's Luis Campo tallied his 14th goal of the year sending a low shot in the left corner.
