Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the Aby Dhabi royal family and owner of Manchester City, has offered 1 billion euros ($1.45 billion) for
Spanish club Real Madrid.
The sheikh's representatives are hoping to set up talks with Real Madrid president
Florentino Perez in early 2010. Real
Madrid's socios would have to approve a change in its legal structure for such a deal, however unlikely, to go through.
