Bosnia-Herzegovina picks Susic as head coach

[BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA] Former goal-scoring great Safet Susic has been named Bosnia-Herzegovina's new head coach, replacing Miroslav Blazevic, who quit after its unsuccessful bid to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa.

Bosnia has one of the top young teams in Europe with such players as Edin Dzeko, Miralem Pjanic and former Saint Louis University star Vedad Ibisevic, but it fell to Portugal in a playoff.

Susic, 54, starred for Yugoslavia and French club Paris St. Germain. He has coached teams in France, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
