Japanese academy steals show

No team has dominated at Disney's Soccer Showcase quite like Japan's JFA Academy Fukushima, which wrapped up play in its Predator bracket with an 8-0 win over the Hershey Soccer KickKats to follow up on a 11-1 win over the Baltimore Bays Chelsea and 7-0 victory over the Ohio Premier Eagles SC Green. What makes the residency team's performance even more amazing is that the players on the academy team are as young as 13 years old.

Fukushima's right back, Yui Narumiya, opened the scoring on a shot from 30 yards to the upper left corner, and followed up with three more goals in first half.

Fukushima proved to be a very talented group of girls, extremely quick on their feet, agile and always ready to strike.

Japanese U-16 international Yoko Tanaka scored the fifth goal in the 65th minute.

Rika Masuya added the sixth in the 80th and Hirkaru Kojima closed out the game scoring the last two goals.
