Dello-Russo rejoins Terps as an assistant

Former Maryland standout Michael Dello-Russo is returning to his alma mater as assistant coach following the resignation of assistants Russell Payne (now the Army head coach) and Paul Vartughian (who will serve as an assistant coach for MLS's Philadelphia Union).

Following his career at Maryland, Dello-Russo was drafted by FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, where he spent three and a half seasons.  Most recently, he played for the Austin Aztex of USL-I and Baltimore Blast of the MISL in 2009.

"I am very excited and honored to come back to my alma mater and join the terrific coaching staff with [Head Coach] Sasho [Cirovski]," Dello-Russo said.  "The time I spent at Maryland not only provided me with the ability to play professionally in the MLS but it gave me the fundamentals for a successful future.
