A year after being traded from New England to Kansas City, forward Adam Cristman
has followed coach Curt Onalfo
to D.C. United.
Kansas City traded Cristman in exchange for a senior international slot.
A broken foot, suffered in preseason, and a hamstring injury limited him to just five games last year, following a
2008 rookie season with the Revs during which he scored four goals and added four assists.
Cristman will get a shot at the Wizards when D.C. and Kansas City face each other in their
season opener March 27.
The Wizards are among several MLS teams that have commenced training in Arizona, where nine teams will spend at least part of the 2010 preseason.
Kansas City is using the Reach 11 Sports Camp in Phoenix that features 10 lighted soccer fields. It will play San Jose in a pair of matches next week, return to Kansas City for a short break, and
head back to Arizona Feb. 21 for an additional two-week stay. It opens its preseason schedule Saturday against Arizona Sahuaros of the NPSL.
