Kim Castleberry, who was one of the top players coming out of high school last year and played 25 games for Texas A&M as a freshman, has transferred to
TCU.
Castleberry, who played for the Dallas Texans, was also a track star in high school.
Brittany Slyman, another Texans player, has
also enrolled at TCU early.
Kristen Barg, a midfielder for the Texans, and
Brooke Kviz, a defender from
Polaris, complete the quartet of Dallas area players who have joined the Horned Frogs.
Kelly Johnson, a defender from Real So Cal,
Kaitlin Hellmann, a midfielder from the Slammers FC, and
Maddy Courvoisier, a defender from FC Las Vegas, also are headed to
Fort Worth.
"We are extremely excited about the group that will be joining us here in the fall," said TCU head coach
Dan Abdalla. "We have already
added Kim Castleberry and Brittany Slyman to our program this spring, so when you add those two with the seven other newcomers, we really have a very dynamic group both on and off the field."
