U.S. products among Kiwi callups for Mexico game

[WORLD CUP COUNTDOWN] MLS players Andrew Boyens (New York) and Simon Elliott (San Jose) are among five U.S. college products New Zealand coach Ricki Herbert called up for the March 3 game against Mexico at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

The other U.S. callups are Tony Lochhead, who played at UC Santa Barbara, Ryan Nelsen, who like Elliott played at Stanford, and Craig Henderson, who finished up at Dartmouth last fall and is now playing in Sweden.

New Zealand roster:
Goalkeepers: James Bannatyne (Team Wellington), Glen Moss (Melbourne Victory, Australia).
Defenders: Andrew Boyens (New York Red Bulls), Tony Lochhead (Wellington Phoenix), Ryan Nelsen (Blackburn, England), Ben Sigmund (Wellington Phoenix), Tommy Smith (Brentford, England).
Midfielders: Andy Barron (Team Wellington), Leo Bertos (Wellington Phoenix), Tim Brown (Wellington Phoenix), Simon Elliott (San Jose Earthquakes), Michael McGlinchey (Motherwell, Scotland), Craig Henderson (Mjallby, Sweden).
Forwards: Rory Fallon (Plymouth Argyle, England), Chris Killen (Middlesbrough, England), Shane Smeltz (Gold Coast United, Australia), Chris Wood (West Bromwich Albion, England).
