The president of Paraguay, Fernando Lugo, visited hosptialized Salvador Cabanas and reported that the Paraguyan striker is "hopeful, talking and exercising" while
recovering after being shot in the head Jan. 25 at a Mexico City bar.
Cabanas, who plays for Mexico's Club America, was shot at point-blank range -- the suspect is still at large -- but
Lugo says he found Cabanas very lucid and with "a lot of hope" during their talk at the hospital Sunday. Lugo was in Mexico for the Rio Group summit.
