Dempsey back in U.S. uniform ...

[WORLD CUP COUNTDOWN] Clint Dempsey was back in a U.S. uniform ... appearing in the away uniform the USA will wear at the World Cup. The Fulham striker, recovering from a knee injury, appeared with other players in the official launch of the Nike national team uniforms at London's Battersea Power Station.

Dempsey said he expects to resume training with the ball on Friday and hopes resume play with the Cottagers in mid-March.

Other players on hand for modeling work included former Stanford and D.C. United player Ryan Nelsen representing New Zealand, Brazil's Alexandre Pato and Portugal's Nani.

Representing England in the Nike-owned Umbro uniform was Jermaine Jenas (standing in for the unavailable Wayne Rooney).

Talk about marketing disaster. I would never purchase such a hideous looking jersey.
