Dear Andrey ...

[OFF THE POST] Arsenal’s Russian playmaker Andrey Arshavin finds time to answer fans' questions at his web site every few days, offering his views on subjects from women's soccer to smoking, while giving weight-loss and tourism advice, and revealing a bit about his off-field life – including where he's been stung by a bee.

Perhaps it's no surprise given how many questions Arshavin fields that his answers tend to be succinct. Do moving and changing advertising billboards on the sideline distract from the game? “No”

Is  Arsene Wenger a competent manager? “Yes”

One young fan asked said he was overweight and asked, “What shall I do?”
Arshavin: “Lose weight.”

Has he ever been stung by bees in the forehead, asked Kostea.
Arshavin: “No, but I’ve been stung once in my behind by a bee.”

A student from St. Petersburg asked Arshavin where to go when on a trip to London: “Take a sightseeing bus tour around London."

Does he smoke? “When I was 15 or 16 years old I tried it. I do not smoke and I don’t approve of smoking, especially by women.”

What does he think about women’s soccer? Arshavin, already infamous for disaparaging comments about women driving, answered, “When girls like football, I think it’s OK. But I think that the level of women's football is too low to take it seriously.”

And to a fan inviting him to check out Scotland,  “Somehow I feel that we won’t go to Scotland even after my career is over.”

One fan said his friend met Arshavin and said “you were very nice but you smelt of coffee. Do you like coffee?”
Аrshavin: "I don’t drink coffee at all."
