Former U-17 Malki joins Mustangs

[CAL POLY MEN] George Malki, who spent time in the U.S. under-17 residency program, is among the six players signed by Cal Poly.

Malki attended Pinnacle High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., and also played for Sereno Soccer Club.

“George is an exceptional player, someone who has imagination, intelligence and technique,” Coach Paul Holocher said. “His time with the U.S. national team in residency exposed him to a high level of competition and he has represented our country in several international events.”

The incoming Mustang class also includes forwards Karson Payton (Provo, Utah) and Justin Hill (Boise, Idaho), midfielder Nolan Moore (New Westminster, B.C.) and defenders Connor Drechsler (Temecula, Calif.) and Chris Fisher (Menlo Park, Calif.).
