When the red card doesn't work

[OFF THE POST] In a Brazilian lower division game between Genus and Moto Clube, Genus' Robson refused to leave the field after getting
red-carded for a bad tackle -- until riot police entered the field and pepper-sprayed him.
Robson committed the foul with his team trailing, 3-0, and along with four teammates confronted
the referee until riot police intervened with shields, batons and the spray. The game was then abandoned.
Genus' coach, Robson and six of his teammates resigned afterward, and the Rondonia
state vice governor, Joao Cahula, said promised an investigation to determine if the police overreacted, according to ESPN SoccerNet.
I remember a game at the '66 World Cup in England(before they even used yellow & red cards)in which an Argentine player committed several atrocious fouls, was sent off, and, pretending not to understand the referee, refused to leave the field.
He hung around for about ten minutes, then slowly stalked around three sides of the field staring at the referee, before finally disappearing into the dressing room...I can't remember the name of the player, but the whole episode was more hilarious than obnoxious.
I saw the film of that game and thought the fouls were minor. The referee ruined a world cup game by removing the player.
