[GEORGIA WOMEN] Steve Holeman, the only head women’s coach in Mississippi history, was hired as the new University ofGeorgia women’s coach, replacing Patrick Baker.

In 2009, Holeman coached the Rebels to a 13-6-2 overall record and their fourth NCAA Tournamentappearance.

A Wake Forest graduate, Holeman established the women’s soccer program at Ole Miss from scratch in 1995 after doing the same for Auburn the previous year.

In 16seasons as a collegiate head coach, he has amassed 165 career wins, with 124 losses and 31 ties.
