Injuries deprive D.C. of key returnees

[MLS NUMBERS] D.C. United equaled its worst start in club history with four straight losses when it fell to Chicago, 2-0, at home on Saturday. To make matters worse, injuries have cost them the services of five players who accounted for 63 percent of the 2009 starts among its returning players.

    At what point can we attribute the DC slump to the coordinated efforts of the league to bleed the club of support so that they can move it?
