Inter risks Sneijder against Barcelona

[UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] The big news on the eve of the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal series between Barcelona and Inter Milan (TV: Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en Espanol, live, 2:30 pm ET) is that Inter, which carries a 3-1 lead into the game, will play Dutch star Wesley Sneijder, who suffered a thigh injury over the weekend.

"Sneijder is fine and he will play," Inter coach Jose Mourinho said Tuesday. "Let's see if he can manage to play at 100 percent for the whole match but he will play no doubt. It's difficult for me because there are a lot of important matches still to come but I have to risk him."

Barcelona will again be without the injured Frances Iniesta. His absence was felt in the first leg when Inter harried Barca's usually dominant midfield.

Can defending champion Barcelona overcome a 3-1 deficit when it hosts Italian champion Inter Milan in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal series? Its form at the Camp Nou certainly suggests it can.

Barca, which needs to win by 2-0 or a margin of three or more goals, beat both Stuttgart and Arsenal by 4-0 scores in the last two rounds. And twice before Barca has overcome 3-1 margins to advance at home.

Probable lineups:
Barcelona -- 1-Victor Valdes; 2-Daniel Alves, 3-Gerard Pique, 18-Gabriel Milito, 22-Eric Abidal; 16-Sergio Busquets, 6-Xavi, 24-Yaya Toure; 10-Lionel Messi, 9-Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 17-Pedro.
Inter Milan -- 12-Julio Cesar; 13-Maicon, 25-Walter Samuel, 6-Lucio, 4-Javier Zanetti; 19-Esteban Cambiasso, 8-Thiago Motta, 11-Sulley Muntari; 9-Samuel Eto'o, 22-Diego Milito, 27-Goran Pandev.

It's a do or die situation for both teams, I hope Inter can pull this one off. Stuttgart and Arsenal are not at Inters level of play, so hoping Barca can come back to win isn't going to be an easy thing. Good luck to both teams!
